Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff in mainstream settings. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while creating communication-inclusive environments through multidisciplinary intervention planning. Drive whole-school communication strategies by ensuring interventions are modelled and effectively integrated into school life using a graduated response model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Operate across school settings in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth, working with teaching teams to equip key adults with skills to support pupils in achieving therapy goals. This role shapes the area's inclusive education strategy within a multidisciplinary hub focused on helping children overcome educational barriers.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
