Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff to lead whole-school communication strategies. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while partnering in multidisciplinary intervention planning across mainstream schools in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth. Create and support communication-inclusive environments by ensuring interventions are effectively integrated into school life using a graduated response model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Drive whole-school communication strategies and equip key adults with skills to support pupils in achieving therapy goals. This role shapes the area's inclusive education strategy within a multidisciplinary team at a renowned hub serving children, young people, and families across the UK and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
