Job Summary
Provide expert communication support and deliver staff training and consultations to empower school staff in leading whole-school communication strategies. Supervise and mentor Therapists and Assistants while creating inclusive environments through multidisciplinary intervention planning. Implement universal strategies and targeted interventions across mainstream schools in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth, ensuring children receive appropriate support via a graduated response model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. Drive whole-school communication initiatives by equipping key adults with skills to support pupils in achieving therapy goals within a permanent 37.5-hour contract.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, PGDip or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
