Job Summary
Deliver staff training and consultation while supporting schools with sensory and functional participation needs. Implement universal strategies and targeted interventions across mainstream settings to build and deliver the Experts at Hand model of practice. Supervise Therapists and Assistants, contributing to multidisciplinary intervention planning and ensuring interventions are effectively integrated into school life. Support EHCP/ISP processes and annual reviews where necessary. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the area's inclusive education strategy, empowering school staff to lead whole-school intervention planning. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and teaching teams to equip key adults with skills to support pupils in achieving therapy goals, operating through a graduated response model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
