Job Summary
Deliver staff training and consultation while supporting schools with sensory and functional participation needs and sensory supportive environments. Supervise Therapists and Assistants and contribute to multidisciplinary intervention planning across mainstream school settings in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth. Ensure interventions are modelled and effectively integrated into school life by equipping key adults with skills to support pupils in achieving therapy goals. Support EHCP/ISP processes and annual reviews where necessary. Implement universal strategies and targeted interventions aligned with the SEND Code of Practice. This role shapes the area's inclusive education strategy and empowers school staff to lead whole-school intervention planning within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Supervisory Experience
- Experience working at a specialist level with this client group in a similar setting
- Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision
- Highly experienced in developing training
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions
- Experience working with complex behaviours
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
