Job Summary
Support the academic progress of pupils aged 11-16 within the Learning Support Department by assisting with daily learning activities and fostering a positive educational environment. Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare, requiring an Enhanced DBS disclosure prior to appointment. Work alongside like-minded colleagues dedicated to providing an excellent education to a diverse population. This role is part of the Learning Support Department at St Edmund's Catholic School, an Outstanding Ofsted-rated institution in Portsmouth.
Required Qualifications
- relevant Level 2 or higher childcare qualification
- good communication skills
- excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above)
- at least two years' experience working with children
- right to work in the UK
- DBS disclosure at Enhanced level
