Job Summary
VP, High Yield Credit Trading will collaborate with traders, salespersons, and desk analysts to generate ideas and execute secondary markets in high yield bonds. Responsibilities include performing credit analysis on single-name and thematic approaches, managing risk at both single-name and book levels, providing real-time analysis of company- and industry-relevant news, and engaging with the global sales force, client base, the research team, and Leverage Finance Syndicate and Bankers. The role requires operating under pressure with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, leveraging extensive credit trading knowledge, market pricing, and risk management to identify compelling trading opportunities and maintain profitability.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant, sell-side credit trading experience in High Yield/distressed credit
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong communication skills with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal updates to colleagues, clients and senior executives
- Experience and proven track record in trading and risk managing that reflects consistent profit generation in High Yield Credit
- Mentorship experience and track record in training employees and improving the overall business performance
