High Yield Credit Trading - Analyst

Job Summary
Provide day-to-day support to the High Yield Credit Trading desk, including trade booking, P&L and risk monitoring/reporting. Assist with market analysis, trade idea generation, and preparation of market commentary and desk reports. Monitor market news, flows, and pricing to inform trading decisions. Maintain and update trading models, spreadsheets, and databases used by the desk. Assist with client requests and ad hoc projects. Gradually assume trading responsibilities under the guidance of senior traders, including quoting markets, executing trades, and managing risk within defined parameters as opportunities arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in fixed income, credit, or related financial markets (internships or full-time)
- Demonstrated interest in markets and trading
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
