Job Summary
Project Manager-High Voltage role responsible for managing electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning projects for Spark Power’s Belleville division in Central Ontario. The position requires coordinating with clients, internal resources, and third parties (vendors, subcontractors, ESA, utilities), developing detailed project plans, managing scope, schedule, and costs, tracking performance, maintaining comprehensive documentation, negotiating additional work items with customers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, supporting branch budgeting and business planning, and driving high levels of customer satisfaction. Strong communication/negotiation skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision are essential. Familiarity with testing methods (Turns Ratio, Power Factor, VLF, Hipot, Winding resistance, Sweep Frequency, Protective Relays, CT/PT), infrared scanning, and power quality monitoring is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of proven project management experience in a high voltage electrical role
- Experience developing preventative maintenance programs and/or electrical equipment acceptance testing plans
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Knowledge of power distribution troubleshooting and commissioning is an asset
- Familiar with testing including Turns Ratio, Power Factor (Doble), VLF, Hipot, Winding resistance, Sweep Frequency, Protective Relays, CT and PT testing, Infra Red scanning and power quality monitoring
- Effective communication and negotiating skills
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
- Computer literate
- Understanding of financial terminology and statements is an asset
