High Voltage Hardware Design Expert
On-siteHanoi, Hanoi, Vietnam
Job Summary
Lead the design and architecture of high-voltage power electronics hardware for e-motor drive systems, including inverters, gate drivers, and DC-link circuits. Select semiconductor devices and insulation components, then perform circuit simulation using SPICE, LTspice, and PLECS to conduct worst-case and derating analyses. Lead prototype build, bring-up, and debugging while executing DV/PV test plans for switching performance, efficiency mapping, and EMC validation. Ensure all hardware meets automotive safety standards including ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and CISPR 25, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on FMEA and safety mechanism definition.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields
- 7+ years of experience designing high-voltage power electronics hardware for automotive or industrial e-motor drives
- Deep knowledge of Power semiconductors (IGBT, SiC MOSFET)
- Deep knowledge of HV insulation design and creepage/clearance rules
- Deep knowledge of Switching power converters
- Deep knowledge of Gate driver design
- Deep knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques
- Strong hands-on experience in schematic design, PCB layout for HV systems, and prototype debugging
- Familiarity with automotive communication and diagnostic requirements (CAN, LIN)
- Strong understanding of safety standards and HV hazard mitigation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with 800V SiC-based EV inverter development
- Experience working in OEM/Tier-1 environment
