High Voltage Commissioning Manager

Job Summary
Manage a team of Commissioning Technologists and subcontracted teams while overseeing multiple high-voltage and medium-voltage projects in remote locations. Execute commissioning and switching deliverables, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and adapting procedures to unique project risks. Coordinate with Operations and Project Managers, attend site visits and kick-off meetings, and lead client meetings to resolve issues. Prepare and approve test procedures, provide technical support to field staff, and coach junior employees on development and performance reviews. Lead daily progress reviews, craft proposals for client RFPs, and manage manpower resources to keep projects on time and within budget. Work extended hours or on-call as required by project demands.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field testing and commissioning
- Minimum 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- 5–10 years of experience in utility and/or industrial sectors
- Strong proficiency with computer systems and relevant software
- Certified/qualified in switching operations (e.g., Switchman, GOI/LOTO, EB&G)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Willingness to travel, work out of town, and operate on rotational schedules as required
- Flexibility to work extended hours or on-call based on project demands
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and workplace health standards
