Job Summary

Operate assigned napkin machines safely while meeting daily production goals and performing make-readies. Accurately report output, troubleshoot issues, and adjust settings to ensure finished products match specifications. Read manufacturing orders, verify raw materials and ink colors, and document quality checks to maintain consistency. Maintain 5S standards and wear required PPE, reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisors. Work overtime as necessary to cover shifts and meet production demand. Requires three years of manufacturing experience in paper converting or printing.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of best practices and procedures for machine operation
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Basic math skills
  • Skill in working well with others / teamwork
  • Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated to improve processes
  • Ability to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changes
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to come to work prepared, on-time, and with a positive attitude
  • High School or GED
  • 3 years of Manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of paper converting or printing industries
  • Ability to Lift/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Safety-focused mindset
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor or team lead
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary to cover other shift operators and meet overall production demand
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret a manufacturing order
  • Ability to accurately report daily production of machine
  • Ability to efficiently operate the assigned napkin machine
  • Ability to efficiently perform machine make-readies
  • Ability to ensure correct product (raw materials, sizes, ink colors, quantities, etc.) are being manufactured
  • Ability to document and quality check output of machines
  • Ability to report any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor or lead person
  • Ability to maintain 5S standards
  • Ability to work in a safe manner
  • Ability to follow established safety policies

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of paper converting and/or printing machinery
  • Related certifications (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.)
