Job Summary
Plan and deliver high school science instruction (Chemistry/Biology) at Vines High School within Plano ISD. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines, adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs, and assess student learning through ongoing evaluation. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs, integrate technology into teaching, and manage a productive classroom environment. Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues; participate in faculty meetings, staff development, and district initiatives; and supervise teacher aide(s) or volunteers as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- ESL Certification is required for the following positions: Pre-K and elementary teaching positions, including Special Education; Middle school English/Language Arts teaching positions, grades 6-8, including Special Education; High school English/Language Arts teaching positions, grades 9-12, including Special Education
- Special Education Certification is required for the following positions: All teachers at an Early Childhood campus
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
