Job Summary
Instruct high school students in mathematics using lecture, audiovisual aids, and demonstrations. Plan and implement lessons, prepare course outlines, and administer tests to evaluate progress and report results to parents. Correct homework, maintain classroom discipline, and supervise student behavior in halls, on buses, and during lunch. Conduct parent-teacher conferences and participate in faculty meetings and professional workshops. Requires a Georgia T-4 to T-7 certification, one year of teaching experience, and the ability to stand and walk seven to seven-and-a-half hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the GaPSC
- Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven (7) to seven and one-half (7½) hours per day
- Normal classroom/school setting
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience
