Job Summary
Instructs High School students in English/Language Arts using various teaching methods (lecture, audiovisual aids, demonstrations) to supplement presentations. Plans lessons, administers tests, corrects homework, and maintains classroom discipline. Develops course outlines and objectives per curriculum guidelines. Conducts parent/teacher conferences to review student progress and participates in faculty meetings and teacher training. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher and certification by the State of Georgia (GaPSC T-4 to T-7 with content-area specialization).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the GaPSC
