Job Summary
High School Special Education Teacher, based at Match Charter Public School in Boston/Brighton, will co-teach, provide inclusion support, and manage a caseload of Special Education students (IEPs). Responsibility includes inclusion instruction in regular education classes with IEP students, paperwork and compliance (testing/screening, documentation), professional development participation, parent/student communication, and contributing to a positive, collaborative school community. Requires bachelor’s degree, MA DESE Special Education license (or ability to obtain within a year), and at least two years of full-time teaching experience; salary range $61,812–$98,899 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- valid Special Education license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) or ability to obtain within a year of hire
- at least two years of full-time teaching experience (classroom or special education)
- ability to implement inclusion support and manage IEPs
- commitment to equity and anti-racist practices
- strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- desire to continually improve practice through feedback
Desired Qualifications
