High School Spanish Teacher at Uncommon Schools: teach and develop students' bilingual Spanish skills toward AP and college-preparatory outcomes; collaborate with the Spanish department to set academic goals and differentiate instruction; analyze student work with weekly meetings with the principal/coach to respond to trends; build positive relationships with students and families, foster cultural awareness, and engage in ongoing professional development and school-wide activities; responsibilities include building speaking/listening/reading/writing skills, guiding students through authentic sources, and supporting student autonomy and college readiness within urban school contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (certification not prerequisite but must meet NJ requirements)
- 1-2 years experience in urban schools preferred
- Academic expertise in Spanish or related fields of study
