Job Summary
High School Spanish Teacher responsible for delivering AP/college-prep Spanish instruction, building students' bilingual skills, analyzing student work trends with the principal/coach, collaborating with grade-level teams, engaging families, and contributing to school culture. Requires a bachelor's degree and NY certification eligibility; 1–2 years of experience preferred. Participate in weekly coaching, feedback, and professional development to support urban high school students in preparing for college.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Certification is not required to be hired at Uncommon, but you must meet NY state certification eligibility requirements; enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher if you do not have a degree in education; must become certified in New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
