Job Summary
High School Spanish Teacher responsible for delivering AP-prep-level instruction in Spanish, developing and implementing a curriculum that strengthens reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills; fostering cultural understanding; and building a classroom community. Collaborates with the Spanish department to set academic goals, analyzes student work trends with the principal/instructional coach, differentiates instruction for diverse learners, and maintains strong family partnerships to support student learning. The role includes weekly coaching, feedback, and professional development, with responsibilities to engage in school-wide meetings and model core values. Requires a bachelor's degree and MA educator license or MTEL SEI endorsement within the first year of employment, with compensation between $71,000 and $116,000 and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Required MA educator’s license or MTEL SEI endorsement within first year of employment
- SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) Endorsement within first year of employment for English learners
- Pass state teacher certification tests as required by MA
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years preferred)
- Academic expertise in Spanish or related fields of study
