Job Summary
High School Spanish teacher responsible for building students' bilingual skills and guiding AP-ready Spanish instruction; collaborate with Spanish department to set academic goals; analyze student work trends with principal/coach; foster a positive classroom culture and engage families to support learning; deliver differentiated instruction and develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish; promote cultural awareness and prepare students for college-level coursework; participate in weekly school-wide meetings, mentorship, coaching, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (certificate not prerequisite)
- All instructional staff are required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period
- 1-2 years experience preferred in urban K-12 settings
