Requires a bachelor's degree, NY certification eligibility, and a plan to obtain NY certification; urban-education experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements
- Enrollment in a teacher preparation program and maintenance of a 2.5 GPA or higher if not having an education degree
- Certification to be completed in New York within a reasonable period after starting employment
- Academic expertise in Spanish or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in urban schools (preferred)
- Demonstrated commitment to social-emotional and academic development of students
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
