High School Social Studies Teacher

Deliver instruction to high school social studies students and coordinate with the principal; prepare daily well-prepared lesson plans to ensure attainment of educational goals; manage student behavior to minimize disruption; supervise duties such as bus, cafeteria, playground, and extracurricular activities; participate in required staff meetings and student academic meetings; complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner; respond to parent inquiries and concerns; direct complaints regarding the work environment to supervisors; comply with board policies and procedures and the North Carolina evaluation standards; may supervise teacher assistants and coordinate activities as assigned; adherence to professional standards and potential for contract non-renewal or disciplinary action for non-compliance.
