Job Summary
Campus-facing High School Secretary supporting the school administrative office: prepares written correspondence, forms, schedules and reports; maintains attendance logs and substitute records; handles personnel time records and leave documentation; maintains school calendars; steps in for registrar and attendance clerk when absent; assists teachers with Skyward gradebook issues and posts grades for office aides and DAEP students; performs basic bookkeeping, purchase orders, inventory of Chromebooks and supplies, and daily cash collections; manages filing systems (physical and digital), prepares documents, coordinates meetings, and supports reception duties, phone coverage, and campus communications; upholds district policies and confidentiality; exercises regular attendance and can work in a school office setting; requires strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task under stress.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years secretarial experience, preferably in public education environment
- Proficient word processing and file maintenance skills
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
