Job Summary
Teach an AP-ready science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science; facilitate student-led discourse, lab-based inquiry, data analysis, and project-based performance tasks; differentiate instruction; collaborate with the Science department; meet weekly with the principal/coach to analyze student work; build positive relationships with students and families; participate in weekly meetings and ongoing professional development; require a bachelor’s degree and NJ certification eligibility; 1-2 years of urban-school teaching experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (including GPA thresholds: 3.0 for grads on/after 9/1/2016 or 2.75 prior to 9/1/2016)
- All instructional staff must become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
