Job Summary
Teach high school science across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science with an emphasis on inquiry-based learning, student discourse, and evidence-based argumentation; facilitate interactive labs and project-based performance tasks; differentiate instruction to support diverse learners; collaborate with the Science department to set academic and engagement goals; meet weekly with principal and instructional coach to analyze student work and trends; build positive relationships with students and families; participate in ongoing coaching, professional development, and school-wide meetings; foster students’ ability to become citizen scientists prepared for college and STEM fields.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements (teacher certification not prerequisite for consideration in NJ, but must meet certification eligibility)
- All instructional staff required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
