Job Summary
Teach a curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science with emphasis on inquiry-based learning and student discourse; facilitate student-led inquiry, labs, and projects; analyze student work with weekly meetings with principal/coach; differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners; build positive relationships with students and families; participate in weekly school-wide meetings and professional development; collaborate with department and grade-level teams to set academic goals and practice instructional strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Pass state teacher certification tests to meet MA state requirements
- All Commonwealth charter teachers must either have an appropriate MA educator’s license or pass MTELs including Communications and Literacy MTEL, Subject Specific MTEL, and MTEL SEI endorsement within first year of employment; SEI endorsement required for English learners
- Prior to start, must earn MTEL SEI endorsement if assigned to teach ELs (one year from assignment)
