Job Summary
High School Science Teacher responsible for delivering an inquiry-based science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science with emphasis on student discourse, data analysis, and project-based labs. Collaborate with department to set goals, analyze student work trends, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and engage families. Utilize AP-aligned content, foster evidence-based argumentation, support student leadership in lab activities, and participate in weekly school-wide meetings and professional development to advance STEM education in urban NJ schools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration in NJ, but must meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (GPA 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 prior) and must become certified within a reasonable period after beginning employment.
