Job Summary

Plan daily and long-term instructional lessons to ensure students maximize each class session. Implement feedback from leadership, peers, parents, and students to constantly improve practice and meet diverse student needs. Use data to drive short-term and long-term achievement goals while maintaining a culture of dignity, collaboration, and kindness. Drive student outcomes by ensuring at least 75% meet grade-level standards and 33% exceed proficiency on internal and state assessments. This role supports Pharos Academy's core beliefs through weekly instructional coaching and professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree secondary education and/or science related major
  • Proficiency in scientific content area
  • clear understanding of how to relate content to the real world
  • Experience working with school-aged children (middle or high school aged) in an academic or youth development setting
  • proven track record of achievement in the classroom
