Job Summary
Interim High School Chemistry Teacher for temporary assignment (Aug 18, 2026 – Jun 18, 2027) at Campbell Hall in Studio City, CA. Responsibilities include teaching four classes (Chemistry and Chemistry Honors) meeting 75 minutes every other day, plus about 3 hours per week of additional duties such as science lab support, lunch supervision, and test proctoring. Includes chaperoning an overnight experiential education trip (four nights), attending faculty/staff meetings, and other duties as assigned. Course descriptions emphasize atomic theory, reactions, stoichiometry, and lab skills; labs, demonstrations, and problem-solving are central. Initiatives include advising students, contributing to a vigorous college preparatory program, and collaborating with colleagues to develop curricula. Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of 3 years of classroom experience; proficiency with technology (Google apps for education, BenQ boards, PowerSchool) and a collaborative, inclusive approach are desired.
