High School Performing Arts Teacher responsible for delivering theatre and performing arts instruction, developing rigorous units in improv, speech, acting, dance, voice, and stage tech; leading at least two major musical/theatrical productions per year; coaching safe backstage and on-stage practices; collaborating with student leadership and community partners; utilizing formative and summative assessments; fostering a positive classroom culture and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to support student growth and leadership; manages inventory, safety of equipment, and budget requests; participates in school committees and mentoring programs; requires Missouri teaching certification and 3+ years of high school teaching experience; base salary $60,000; on-site role in St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s required
- Certification: Valid Missouri certification (or willingness to certify ASAP)
- Experience: 3+ years of high school teaching preferred
- Skills: Strong content mastery in English, Music, and Visual Arts; proven ability to use data to drive instruction
