High School Orchestra Music Teacher

Job Summary
Develops and delivers high school orchestra curriculum in alignment with district goals, creates lesson plans and instructional materials, conducts ongoing assessment of student learning (including students with special needs), and adjusts teaching strategies to meet diverse learners. Promotes a safe, conducive classroom environment, communicates with parents and administration regarding student progress, collaborates with grade-level colleagues to evaluate and improve curriculum, and administers standardized tests as required by the district. Utilizes technology and NIET Best Practice Instructional Rubric in planning and professional growth; travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Requires a BA in education and an Indiana teaching license; PEA certified position; standard teacher work schedule as per contract.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in education
- Current Indiana Teacher's License in subject area applicable to teaching assignment
- PEA certified position
- Experience: Previous experience is preferred.
