Job Summary
Generate, prepare, and teach music curriculum while directing choir and band programs. Lead group study sessions, develop interactive classroom environments, and prepare materials for successful lesson delivery. Motivate students to engage in learning within a disciplined setting, guiding them as they practice presented concepts. Maintain gradebooks through FACTS, evaluate student musical talents, and communicate with parents via email, phone, and conferences. Direct chapel worship, programs, and concerts, which may require occasional after-school hours. Work effectively with colleagues and administration in a God-centered environment providing a Biblical education.
Required Qualifications
- Have a personal relationship with Christ
- Possess a sound knowledge of music theory with an extensive understanding of the subject matter
- Possess a Bachelor of Science in Music Education or Performance
- Education certificate preferable
- Provide PA state-mandated clearances
