Job Summary
Experienced Humanities teacher needed to deliver MPX Humanities, blending Language Arts and Social Studies through project- and challenge-based learning. Responsibilities include designing authentic interdisciplinary experiences, formulating motivating questions for independent and collaborative student work, collaborating with community organizations to create real-world applications, integrating educational technology into lesson design, teaching competencies per MPX and external standards, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, using student-centered approaches aligned with the school’s deeper-learning mission, collaborating on curriculum and assessment practices, administering formative and summative assessments, recording grades electronically, maintaining classroom management and parent communication, fulfilling homeroom/advisory duties, budgeting for course materials, and participating in faculty meetings and professional development. This in-person role follows the August–May academic calendar and requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Language Arts, History, or a related Humanities field from an accredited university or college
- at least two years of teaching experience
- experience in student-centered curriculum design
- incorporating project-based learning is preferred
