Job Summary
High School Media Teacher for Shared Time program at Huda Upper in Farmington Hills, MI. Oversees the primary functions of the school media center including student supervision and the circulation, organization, and maintenance of technology materials. Supports students and staff in the use of digital media; develops appropriate programs for students utilizing resources; and instructs students on the proper use of computer and technology resources. Teaches and guides information literacy, information research, reading, and digital citizenship; plans and evaluates the media program in alignment with school goals; maintains records and assists with budget; collaborates with teachers to design instructional units and lessons; promotes parental involvement and effective communication with students and families; and demonstrates professionalism and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate (High School)
- Educational Technology (NP) preferred
- Experience working with students at the high school level
- Ability to design and implement effective programs for diverse learners
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent observation and analytical skills
