Job Summary
High School Math Teacher responsible for delivering Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus instruction to students in urban schools. Collaborates with grade and content teams to promote AP and college-preparatory coursework, differentiates instruction to address diverse learners, analyzes student data with instructional coaches to drive targeted strategies, and engages families and the broader school community to support student learning and well-being. Focuses on cultivating self-guided learners, building mathematical reasoning and vocabulary, and contributing to a supportive, equity-driven school culture through ongoing professional development and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility within a reasonable period after starting employment
- Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration in NJ, but must meet NJ certification eligibility requirements (GPA thresholds described)
- 1-2 years of experience preferred in related field or urban education setting
