Job Summary
High School Mathematics teacher needed to teach Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus to urban high school students. You will work in grade and content teams to promote self-guided learning, support AP coursework, analyze student work trends, differentiate instruction, build positive classroom culture, and engage families. The role involves collaboration with the Math department, participation in weekly meetings and practice-based professional development, and helping students prepare for college readiness and autonomy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NJ state certification eligibility requirements
- All instructional staff are required to become certified in New Jersey within a reasonable period after beginning employment
- Teacher certification is not a prerequisite for consideration at Uncommon Schools in the state of NJ, but you need to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements (a final undergraduate or graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 for graduates on or after 9/1/16, or 2.75 if you graduated prior to 9/1/16)
