Job Summary
High School Math Teacher responsible for delivering Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus content using AP-preparatory and collegiate coursework frameworks. Collaborate with math department to set academic and engagement goals, differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, analyzed student work and assessments with principal/coach weekly, and foster a classroom culture that supports self-guided learning. Build relationships with students and families to coordinate resources, participate in weekly school-wide meetings, and engage in practice-based PD and mentorship to advance student achievement and core values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements (must enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher if not have a degree in education)
- Must enroll in teacher preparation program and become certified in the state of New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
