Job Summary
High School Math Teacher responsible for delivering Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus content to urban high school students, fostering self-guided learning, and preparing students for AP and college coursework. Collaborate with grade and content teams to set academic goals, analyze student work to identify trends, differentiate instruction for all learners, and build a supportive classroom community. Engage families and participate in weekly meetings, school-wide initiatives, and ongoing professional development to promote student achievement and equitable outcomes. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering or related field OR equivalent; NJ certification eligibility required; teacher certification not prerequisite but must become certified in NJ within a reasonable period; 1-2 years experience preferred in urban schools; ability to teach Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and AP prep; commitment to social-emotional and academic development; ability to collaborate with internal and external partners; data-driven instruction and differentiation; strong communication with families; willingness to participate in professional development and coaching; ability to build positive classroom culture and student relationships
