Job Summary
Teach Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Physics to high school students; plan and deliver instruction aligned with Virginia standards and Rise Academy’s instructional framework; differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners; use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction; connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications; foster a structured, respectful classroom culture; collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices; participate in faculty activities and contribute to the school's spiritual, academic, and cultural life; offer Dual Enrollment instruction when applicable; base salary stated for a full-year contract and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or a closely related field
- Virginia teaching license or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful high school teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and/or Physics
- Qualified to teach Dual Enrollment courses
- Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement through engaging instruction and data-driven practices
- Experience integrating instructional technology into the learning environment
- Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills
