Job Summary
Create a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional development. Provide daily instruction using clear learning outcomes, well-designed lessons, and high-quality assessments aligned to Friendship's curriculum and standards. Incorporate creative, hands-on learning experiences that broaden student exposure, foster ingenuity, and require application of knowledge. Maintain a visually appealing environment rich with resources and displays of exemplary student work. Communicate regularly with families to identify student needs and update parents on progress. Collaborate with school-based staff and throughout the Friendship network in meetings and professional learning to enhance the student experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Commitment to providing a world-class education to students from historically underserved communities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the role
- Identified as 'in field'
- Has a university degree in their field of teaching
- Has an active certification in their field of teaching
- Has demonstrated at least one year of effective teaching in their field as measured by the LEA's teacher evaluation system
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and above
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and/or continuing education
