Job Summary
Teach up to three high school students simultaneously using proven methodologies, covering algebra, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology. Provide individualized support to strengthen subject knowledge and learning skills while tracking progress and completing post-lesson notes. Foster a positive, encouraging environment by building rapport with students through a structured, professional approach. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong curriculum knowledge, and experience tutoring or coaching. You must be available for two to three evenings weekly between 4:00 and 8:30 pm, commute to our Halifax location, and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in a relevant field (Math, Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of the high school math and/or science curriculum
- Experience tutoring, teaching or coaching
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliable availability for 2–3 evenings per week (4:00–7:00 pm or 4:00–8:30 pm)
- Ability to commute to our Halifax location
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
