Job Summary
Provide MTSS-based math intervention support for 9th- and/or 10th-grade students in Math 1 and/or Math 2, delivering synchronous instruction Mon-Thu and asynchronous on Fridays. Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with NC Math 1/2 standards, maintain student records, participate in PLCs, engage with parents/colleagues/community, and support high school program events. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and NC Math 9-12 teaching license, with 3+ years of teaching experience; preferred experience in virtual/remote settings and Canvas LMS. Hybrid/remote work arrangement (~90-95% remote) with a Durham, NC office. Must be a North Carolina resident throughout employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
- North Carolina Math 9-12 teaching license (will not consider NC Math 6-9)
- 3+ years of teaching experience (Preferred)
- Experience teaching in virtual or remote setting (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Canvas or other LMS (Preferred)
- Must be a North Carolina resident and maintain residency while employed
- Experience with NC Math 1/2 standards and EOC state assessments (NCTest, EVAAS)
- Ability to develop and deliver MTSS math intervention aligned to NC Math 1/2 standards
- Strong communication with parents, colleagues, and the community
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Participation in PLCs and professional development
