Job Summary
Modifies and adapts the K12 curriculum to meet unique student needs through individualized and small group sessions while ensuring the implementation of the RTI instructional system. Collaborates with general education teachers, administrators, and counselors to coordinate Tier 2 interventions, oversee data collection and progress monitoring, and provide guidance on identifying students requiring additional support. Educates parents on instructional strategies and supports staff in documenting student progress using data to drive whole and small group instruction planning. Provides ongoing training on RTI procedures and facilitates special education eligibility determinations. Requires a full-time commitment of 40+ hours per week with the ability to work independently in a professional home office environment.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina Department of Education High School (9-12) Math Teaching Certification
- Residency in South Carolina
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with proposed age group
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment
- Experience with online learning platforms
