Job Summary
Teach World/US History with focus on analysis, primary and secondary sources, and AP preparation. Collaborate in the History department to set academic and engagement goals, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, engage families and communities, and participate in weekly professional development and school-wide meetings to support student achievement. Role requires a bachelor’s degree and NY certification eligibility; teachers will pursue NY certification and participate in teacher-preparation programs as outlined. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 with strong benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must meet NY state certification eligibility requirements
- Enroll in a teacher preparation program and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher during employment if not have a degree in education
- Must become certified in the state of New York within a reasonable period after beginning employment
