Job Summary
High School History Teacher responsible for rigorous, inquiry-based instruction using a standards-aligned curriculum. Design engaging lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments; leverage data from assessments (e.g., NWEA, EOC) to inform instruction and differentiate supports. Facilitate student mentoring activities, including weekly Circle discussions, and coordinate with families. Lead and participate in whole-school initiatives (e.g., Grade-Level Lead, Civic Engagement Lead, SEL Lead) to promote student growth and school culture. Maintain a high-expectations, equitable classroom for up to 25 students and ensure adherence to safety protocols. This on-site role is based in St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in History or Social Studies Education
- Missouri Social Studies 9-12 certification (or willingness to certify ASAP)
- 3+ years of high school history or social studies teaching experience preferred
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Background check clearance
