Job Summary
The Head Coach is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the sport program. Duties include instructing athletes, scheduling events, promoting sports, and maintaining discipline. The coach must ensure student-athletes are well-prepared for competition while fostering good sportsmanship and a positive team environment. Spiritual maturity is essential, as the role requires instilling faith, character, and academic excellence in students. Qualifications include TAPPS certifications, CPR/AED certification, and a valid driver's license. Strong technology skills and a commitment to professional development are also necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Pass appropriate TAPPS certifications
- Possess evidence of adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the Athletics Director
- Valid American Red Cross CPR/AED certification
- Valid CDL License or willing to obtain a license
- Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age and pass a criminal history record check
- Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Reliable transportation to and from work
