Job Summary
Oversee the entire varsity and junior varsity cross country program, including coaching the squad, supervising assistant coaches, and enforcing student discipline during practices and contests. Manage game schedules, coordinate out-of-town travel, verify physical examinations, and supervise athletes while traveling to away competitions. Maintain equipment storage, prepare award lists and season records, and communicate with parents regarding sportsmanship and personal development. Enforce district policies, attend state meetings, stay current on sport trends through clinics, and maintain positive relationships with the athletic director, coordinator, and other staff.
