Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, teaching sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies. Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team activities while promoting good sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development. Manage equipment, prepare for games, and ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes. Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, athletes, and school staff while adhering to North Park, Western-Slope League, and Colorado athletic policies. Work primarily in a gym, attending all practices and games with required travel. Submit an online application; position remains open until filled.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass a CBI and FBI background check
- Ability to complete the CHSAA 1st Year Coaches Test, Concussion Training, Mandatory Reporter Training, and First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to work with student-athletes in a positive and constructive way
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Previous playing or coaching experience in track
- Travel is required
