Job Summary
High School EXPRO Math Teacher responsible for effective teaching and learning of assigned subject(s) following district-approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. May teach in elementary and/or secondary settings including Life Skills, Behavior Development, Structured Communications, and Learning Resource/Support; emphasizes student safety, collaboration, and tailoring instruction to each student’s readiness to learn, with attention to IEP/504 accommodations, data-driven planning, and ongoing communication with parents. Collaboration within professional learning communities, utilization of research-based instructional strategies, and integration of technology into planning, progress reporting, and required record-keeping (including IEPs). The role requires adherence to district and state policies, ongoing professional development, and support for school-wide programs and student welfare. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree and NM PED teaching certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree
- Valid teaching certification issued by NM PED
- Demonstrated knowledge for subjects/levels being taught
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff
- Experience or ability to plan lessons using district-approved curriculum and assessment practices
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 accommodation requirements
- Proficiency in integrating district-approved technology into instruction
