Job Summary
High School English Teacher responsible for rigorous, standards-aligned ELA instruction, designing engaging lessons and rubrics, and using data (NWEA, EOC) to differentiate instruction. Facilitates weekly student Circle mentoring, participates in staff Circle, guides mentor groups, and supports school-wide initiatives in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Role includes leading with a focus on equity and excellence, building strong relationships with students and families, and contributing to culture and systems to foster measurable academic and personal growth. Occurs on-site with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:40 AM–3:30 PM. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, Missouri ELA 9-12 certification (or willingness to certify ASAP), and 3+ years of high school ELA teaching preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
- Missouri ELA 9-12 certification (or willingness to certify ASAP)
- 3+ years of high school ELA teaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems
- Ability to analyze assessments (e.g., NWEA, EOC) to inform instruction
